Systems thinker.
Calm problem-solver.
Trusted partner.
Before I was organizing workflows and troubleshooting tech for academic entrepreneurs, I spent 15+ years in academia: teaching, researching, serving, and navigating all the spreadsheets and syllabi that come with it.
I earned my PhD in Social Work, published academic papers, and built a faculty career while starting a family and writing about the messiness of it all on Toddler on the Tenure Track.
Eventually, I realized I was ready for something different. Something that still honored my strengths (hello, detail-oriented planning and thoughtful communication!) but gave me more flexibility and space.
I made the leap into virtual assistant work, and over time, built a business supporting academic entrepreneurs. I offer the kind of help that’s hard to find: capable, kind, proactive, and deeply attuned to the unique rhythms of academic work.
Now, I work with a small number of long-term clients, helping with everything from inbox management and SOP creation to course maintenance, Zapier automations, and file organization that actually makes sense.
If you’re someone who cares deeply about your work but could use a trusted partner to make the backend feel lighter, you’re in the right place.
Want to work together?
Simplicity that works. I love turning messy processes into clean, functional systems.
Presence. I bring calm focus to the work I do, and I aim to make your business feel calmer too.
Sustainability. I believe in building work rhythms that support life, not consume it.
Kind collaboration. I believe that trust, care, and clear communication are the foundation of good work relationships.
What I Value
I love a good fantasy novel. One of my all-time favorites is the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix, I come back to it every few years.
Everyone in my family was born in a different state. I’m from Virginia, my husband is from Pennsylvania, our older daughter was born in Ohio, and our younger daughter in Oregon.
I’m biracial. I’m Black and white, and deeply value the richness and complexity of identity.
I love lifting weights. I got started through CrossFit back in 2009 and have been strength training ever since.
